This is stolen from/inspired by a tweet from Pitchfork, but either way I think it could be an interesting topic. What was the first you album you remember hearing in full?

Mine was Decade In The Sun by Stereophonics, although that's a compilation and I think other than that it was Bruce Springsteen's Born To Run (which is still my favourite album to this day)

I think it was Michael Jackson's Bad though I'm not totally sure if I heard the whole thing at that time (I was 7 or 8 years old). If not that, it was probably (gasp!) Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl, who I was obsessed with when I was 9 ๐Ÿคฃ

Hard to say.... early on I recall listening to Pretty Hat Machine by NIN. Maybe that.

Probably The Beatles' 1, although that's a compilation. The first studio album I listened to in full I think was either Black Holes and Revelations by Muse, American Idiot by Green Day, or Hot Fuss by The Killers.

Sweet Baby James by James Taylor

I was 10. My sister bought it for me. I learned how to sing harmony to this album...to this day, I can cover every vocal second of every song with harmony. I think it messed everyone up that I had it done at such a young age. Been singing ever since.

I might have heard albums at work or friends' houses before this, but the first album I sat down purposefully listened to in full was about 8 years ago. No idea why, but it was this:

Turn On The Bright Lights by Interpol

I've grown to dislike most of the music I listened to back then but I still enjoy this one quite a bit.
