Hi everyone.
Just signed up as I've been using the site a lot lately (as a non-member) to compose my own chart.
Question for those who know more than me about the site...if an album appears to have the wrong release year showing, do I add a post to the Music section of the forum or query it some other way?

Hi, welcome to BEA. The preferred way of reporting an incorrect year (or anything else like that) is to submit a data correction on the relevant album page (click the pen icon next to the title of the album at the top of each album page). There's also a 'bug' icon at the bottom of the album page which also takes you through to the same page as well.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if submitting a data correction request for the album in question would be the right way to move forward as I am only about 80% sure the date is wrong (there are only two places on the internet I can find showing the year as 2008 for example, one of them being this website, while all other sources including the artist's own website records the album in question as 2009). Should I put in a data correction request for something I am not 100% certain of?

Ok I've made an edit "suggestion" (in that, as far as I am aware, I have added it to the list of changes to be reviewed without actually making the change itself). That's because I can now see that you have previously corrected it from 2009 to 2008. However, I still *think* it should be March 2009 (see artist's official website and numerous other sources online OTHER than Discogs).
For quick info, this is the album in question: Lost Channels by Great Lake Swimmers.
Will now leave it up to the admins/moderators to decide on! (Although if you do have evidence of it definitely being 2008, please do let me know as it will change an offline chart I am currently working on...) 😄
