I don't care what (many of) you people say. I think this album is freaking amazing. "Rock 'n' Roll Star", "Live Forever", "Supersonic", "Cigarettes & Alcohol", and "Slide Away" are among my favourite britpop songs. And the deluxe edition, whose second disc includes "Fade Away", "Listen Up", "Whatever", and "Half The World Away", only adds to this album's excellence.

I really don't know how an album with a 79/100 is in the top 100.

Imo one of the more overhyped albums of the 90s
Favorites: Rock'n'roll star, Married With Children

The contrast of the cover art is great tho!

Slide Away remains to this day by far the best song they ever wrote.

This was one of my generation's big albums and it was great to see them grow from the start. All the kids in the know liked this album and then their second album blew up huge and everybody liked them. Britpop went from the cult to the mainstream. I reckon people maybe wouldn't be so snobbish about Oasis if they hadn't been so successful.

It was just a shame Liam's on/off fat dancer friend Robbie Willliams never made it in America too. Arguably not as talented as the Gallagher brothers but he had more charm. And he did have a few good albums.

I am sorry but they are the nickelback of brit pop. They are good at what they do, but what they do is bad.
