Yeah with Monroe it's always been about her personal performance and lyrical prowess over the compositions, I liked how the relatively sinewy, very classical country sound did all it could to prop up her voice rather than drown it out... so it's interesting here going for a really ornate, string heavy melancholic dirge of a song, though I don't know if it really suits her no matter how inspired it may be. But it still easily gets the vote here, didn't know Black Eyed Peas made music in 2018 nor did it appear they needed to.

Whoa...Orphan is beautiful! And that's coming from a guy who abides no country. That BEP is crap. Probably the widest division between the two competitors in the entire tourney.

Orphan is gorgeous and gets my vote. Street Livin' is technically solid, but lyrically almost feels like a parody of conscious hip-hop.
