Although I wasn't altogether sure in the first round, pulling the trigger for Little Dark Age here is pretty easy.

Think

...

I think I like Tierra Whack's potential more than her album itself. It's a fun gimmick, especially in the age of the 7-second video (which... has come and gone I suppose), but I think she needed to push out at least another 10 tracks on it.

On the other hand, I think MGMT deserved the praise for their comeback. I'm still underappreciating Little Dark Age. It's only when a song from it comes on shuffle I remind myself 'oh yeah, good for them'. It's just a shame nothing they've done this decade has come close to the beginning of their discography.

So, I'm not sure. I think I have both albums logged at a solid 7/10 somewhere. Might just vote for the underdog come a few days time.

I know Little Dark Age is not MGMT's best and all... but it certainly is better than Whack World.

I don't get Whack World... for me it seems the only idea they had was making a movie beside it, but we're talking about the album aren't we?

This is going to be the hardest vote for me. Leaning MGMT but will have to give Whack World another listen to be sure. Love both.

I think MGMT's effort here is garbage (no offense or anything, just stating what I thought), whereas Whack World was incredibly intriguing.

I'm genuinely shocked Idles could take down the mighty Mitski but lose to Whack, I mean it's a fun, fresh album but seems to have had an incredible stroke of good fortune in this tournament. That said, I 'll still pull the lever here for Tierra as MGMT is just whoosh these days

The weakest album that Whack World has gone up against yet. As I've said before, Little Dark Age is a fun throwback album to the golden age of 80s accessible synth pop but certainly does not climb the heights of the original source material or even their own debut, whereas Whack World is incredibly fresh and innovative and stands at the forefront of modern pop/r&b.
