Yeah, I almost reconsidered and went with Road to Joy after you mentioned it. It really rocks, the lyrics are killer- and we're missing a great anti-war song too.

Still going with the enigmatic loveliness of We are nowhere and it's now. Some of the best lyrics I've ever heard and for me this track represents the peak of aughts alt. country.

Yeah I wish we didn't have three Newsom tracks in the running, but Emily is my favorite song from her and I've never cared for Bright Eyes so I have to be complicit in our repeated artists in this case.

Yeah definitely don't vote based on how one artist is maybe a bit over-represented in the tournament, though Newsom overload may end up hurting her chances in the long run. Anyways I'm still going Emiy as it's a great opening track even if it feels a bit redundant after Only Skin, as Conor Oberst is the exact type of artist i used to love than completely forgot about once MySpace went out of favor.
