Gonna go with my nomination, a squelching, JA-inspired, absolute belter of a song, distinctly British in its modest boasts and self-deprecation, whilst still flying in the face of the landed gentry's stiff upper lip. This is perhaps the most London-sounding song I can think of, an anthem that works just as well on carnival soundsystems as it does in skeezy Peckham pool hall indie discos. I love Bjork, but Rodney caught the lightning with this one. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
i think it's damn near impossible to pick a bjork track, even limiting to a decade. hidden place definitely in my top 20 bjork's, but on any given day could be my all-time favorite. i 'spect pagan poetry and hunter are my true favorites, but hidden place is easily a top tier track.
considered voting roots manuva because it's incredible in its own and would hate to see it get absolutely slaughtered, but i just can't vote against bjork. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.

That's the truth. I was never too big on Pagan Poetry for some reason, so Hidden Place was a logical choice. If I was going for a personal favourite, I might've gone with It's Not Up To You, but they're both just as good tbh. Also don't let Roots Manuva get slaughtered, there's not a big quality difference here, although I slightly prefer Hidden Place. _________________ Overall chart Fake overall chart
ROOTS MANUVA actually for this go around. Idk... it just jived with me more. I fell in love with Bjork's Debut record, and after that idk... just not as much.
