I was expecting complete garbage and actually can't believe I'm posting this. There were a couple episodes that I liked better than some (most?) full feature Star Wars films. Possibly because they left some things up to the imagination and I feel like they milked the cheese factor out pretty well.
Anyway - thoughts?

Sorry, haven't seen it. But TV series being better than the movies they're based on's a real phenomenon.

I'm a massive Star Wars fan, and I thought it was a consistently good show. I wasn't expecting the episodes to have little connectivity like they did. The show wasn't really that serialized which is rare for TV now. I thought a lot of characters that were introduced in this show were great and they have potential to get even greater in season 2. _________________ Check out some of my other interest on my own review site. Yeah - my only concern is they turn this into a 9347539475 episode show and ruin it. I also wasn't too keen on the season finally, that felt more like TV show, but the journey along was actually pretty intriguing and I especially liked how "low key" it was. It helps when your lead character has 90% 1-3 word responses. IDK - it just didn't suffer from lame TV stuff that I usually get sick of pretty quick.
Don't get me wrong, Star Wars movies are pretty alright as well. I just have some gripes about the acting/screenplay sometimes; enough to not be as great of a Star Wars fan as I'd like to be. I didn't feel like The Mandalorian suffered from that as much. There were 2-3 episodes I thought, wow, this is a great show.

I'd imagine this show will have several seasons for sure, but considering the way non-network TV is now its very rare that a show has any more than 10-12 episodes a season. The show is in Jon Favreau's hands and he seems like a legitimate fan. Probably even more so than any of the other creative they've had involved since the Disney purchase. _________________ Check out some of my other interest on my own review site. Scum N' Villainy

Good points - hope you are right/turns out that way.
