Oh, that VG video takes me back. Late 2011 was a strange time indeed. Song still sounds great, even if from a personal standpoint it took 8 years to prove it wasn't a fluke. Gets my vote here easily as Autre is just... eh.
Finally heard Video Games for the first time last year after falling in love with NFR. It's a good song but I don't really get what the fuss is all about. Play by Play on the other hand is one of my favorite pop songs, it has a wild song structure with no repeated passages (well until the outro kind of) and a bunch of fake hooks until the chorus finally hits at the end. I like it musically too obviously but the way it flows is so much fun to listen to. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. And it's harder as anything else.
Autre Ne Vaut was part of a NYC music scene that I had a lot of contact with. A couple of my friends were touring members of his live band. And yet I've never been able to get into his tunes. I dig Video Games enough to win this round. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I find the song and the video more obnoxious than I remember. Still gets my vote in this match. For some reason I thought Autre ne veut were a metal band. This was kind of disappointing
True, kind of like Lily Allen singing "I don't care if I'm clever". Still really love it, though maybe lost a little of it's mystique because Lana finally did something that was just/almost as good, but an easy choice here.
