Occasionally I discover genres I have little to no knowledge of (in this case I know a handful of film soundtracks, like Drive and Maniac [remake], as well as Stranger Things) and fall in love instantly. This is one of those occasions. I'm at the very early learning stages here but Pertubator, Carpenter Brut and FM-84 are a few acts I've enjoyed enough to take note of so far. Not quite the same (I did listen to Disintegration last night coincidentally). While those bands all likely had an influence of synthwave, the genre wasn't born until the 21st century from my understanding. Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'll be sure to check them out asap. After I've educated myself enough to confidently pick favorites I'll surely add a few albums to my chart.
