Well this is unfotunate. One of my nominations up against a song I love that I considered nominating myself. So happy with either song going through here.

Innerbloom is such a vibe. Maybe a top 5 track for me in this tournament. Gets my vote with ease.

I dig the Oh Sees track, but Innerbloom is great and gets my vote. If you told me a couple weeks ago that these two tracks would be nominated by these two users, I never would have guessed that Purplepash would pick the electronic one.

Totally fair enough too, but it is such an exquisite song, with so much emotion, passion, and beauty that I could not help but be enamoured with it on first listen, and the love for it just grew with many repeat plays. However it is the only song of theirs I really like whereas Thee Oh Sees albums are regulars in my charts.

This is a really rough choice. In the end while Static God had A LOT of interesting musical concepts I usually go for, EXCEPT for that repetitive bassline (although other parts were pretty good basslines), really was the deciding factor.

Plus Innerbloom was quite the tapestry and something new for me.

Not massively enamoured with either choice. 'Innerbloom' has some cool elements, but I'm not convinced that putting them together the way it does, especially in its most predictable and maximalist moments, actually benefits it. It didn't do anything to maintain my interest over ten minutes, and if I heard it in a club it wouldn't have me rushing towards the dancefloor. 'The Static God' is basically The Buzzcocks' 'Everybody's Happy Nowadays', except without charm or a chorus, and it features a particularly irritating vocal performance. That said, despite my misgivings, it gets my vote on the basis that it has a more distinctive personality.
