Well, I already know there's no shot of my pick beating an Angel Olsen track... and a really good one at that. But hope people at least give Velvet River a listen and that someone enjoys it. I can never get enough of its second half.
I find Shut Up Kiss Me one of the least interesting songs on My Woman, though still a lot of fun and lyrically a great final verse, and it gets my vote over the pretty but predictable crest of Velvet River

I'm not head-over-heels in love with 'Shut Up Kiss Me', but it's fun and catchy and strutting, and it aims for a sense of classic glamour and sticks the landing, even among the fuzz. I can't remember anything about the other song, and it literally just finished. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
