Someone on BEA recommended me Benjamin Booker's Witness, upon which I found one of my favorite tracks of 2017. From the lyrics to the muted guitar rhythms, to the sonic landscape the subtle feedback gives - to both chill and complexity... yeah, just dig. So thanks to whoever it was. The rest of the album was alright, but really dig this track.
Roy of the Ravers, although could've been cut in half for my taste, had some really cool ear tickles. I typically don't dig stuff like this, but at least I know I'd be happy for either track to win instead of being a sore loser to a crap track.
Truth is Heavy is a cool mix of soul and blues rock that I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would. My vote goes for Emotinium though, it's an excellent house track and the song I'm more likely to listen to again. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being.
