Probably goes without saying, but as there were no other ratings for it on this site, I figured I needed to be the sacrificial lamb and check it out.
A Very Trainor Christmas is an utter disgrace. The originals are a complete hack-job, and the covers are cringeworthy at best. What the world needs now is not a feux-hip-hop version of Sleigh Ride with electronic beats. And we definitely don't need a song encouraging us to have a Christmas Party with all of our family.
Anyway, to put a more positive spin on this thread, what's your favorite actually good Christmas album that I can check out and get me in the mood for Christmas? I always tended to enjoy Brian Setzer's holiday releases, but he's done like 5 or 6 of them now. That's probably enough of those, I think. Any thoughts?

I also love most of The Killers' holiday tracks but I'm not aware of a full holiday album by them. Sufjan Stevens has some great Christmas songs too but I think there's a lot of duds on his albums. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
His vocals are decent. The instrumentals are nice. Some parts are a little bit awkward, but I'm certain that it is a million times better than Megan Trainor's album.
Yeah the Vince Guaraldi's a classic and I tend to agree re Suf in that some of the best stuff and worst stuff he's ever made are on those recordings. Laura Nyro's Christmas record is a classic too if that's a sound you're going for. I've always been partial to Nat King Cole's christmas releases and John Fahey's Christmas recordings are timeless.
Meghan Trainor showed up to Toronto's virtual Christmas parade this year to perform something off her Christmas album. I think I erased all the content of that misadventure from my mind.
