This thread I hope will bring out everyone's favorite songs that feature the best drumming they have EVER heard. Doesn't matter to me what style of music it is just as long as it speaks to you in some way. My list will follow soon as it's now 4:15 in the AM and i have to work in a few hours. So I'm gonna finish my beer, finish my smoke, hit the sack and come back and see what I'm hoping is going to be the BEST EVER list of drumming songs EVER recorded.

Cheater! But since we're mentioning electronic songs, the drum solo at the end of this is sweet:

Not the best drums I've ever heard, but "Wait Until Tomorrow" by John Mayer Trio is difficult to play. It's a cover of a Hendrix song.

I constantly return to Jimmy Chamberlain from the Smashing Pumpkins for a panoramic sense of rock drumming. Endlessly muscular when he needs to be, avoids cliches at all possible costs, and with such a innate sense of dynamics and melody - that in the case of "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" - his drumming becomes encyclopedic in scope- art metal, underwater ballads, bizzare drone pop, country, top 40 rock, and corny MIDI romps all seem one in the same. One of my favorite albums ever.

for absolute basics of genius Pumpkins drumming:

"Jellybelly"
"Cash Car Star" (holy shit)
"Geek USA"

If you havent shit your pants I feel bad for you.
