Personal note: A new breed of Australian artists that looks back at the underground 80s post-punk of Australia and embraces all of it. His voice has been compared to Nick Cave and Jimi Hendrix and is brooding and eerie at points. I learnt of Jack Ladder when he released the song 'The Barber's Son' and wanted to hear more.
Side note: Top Aussie albums this year:
Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders - Hurtsville
Snowman - Absence
Gotye - Making Mirrors
Josh Pyke - Only Sparrows
Kimbra - Vows
