What are some of your favourite remix albums? I'm thinking of ones with various artists but single artist remixes are welcome too. (Come to think of it, Best various artists remix album would be a good tournament idea 🤔 )

Right now I'm listening to 'Brat and its completely different but also still brat'.

Girl, so confusing featuring lorde is up there for song of the year for me

God bless you and the girls always!!!

Holly (a girl who still listens to them)

P.S. Their Christmas release is one of my most favorite albums to play at Christmas time. 😄 😄 😄

Take Away / The Lure Of Salvage by Andy Partridge

AKA Explode Together: The Dub Experiments by XTC (that's the CD version).

It's probably not what you had in mind, but I think this is the only remix album I actually own. I'll keep looking, though.

This is probably more like it - I don't actually own any of these, but about 20 years ago Verve Records got some of the acts on their roster to remix some 50's/60's R&B and Jazz classics, to essentially "modernize" them. I like the tracks I've heard, at least - most of them are not dance/techno versions per se, but to me, that's probably a good thing. (How they got the rights to all this material, I have no idea.)

All those classics were originally released on Verve!

It's up there for me too! Still need to listen to the whole remix album.

From recent years, this one is really good:

Oil Of Every Pearl's Un-Insides Remix Album by SOPHIE

And my hot take is this remix EP is better than Paid In Full:

The Mixpak Elpee by Eric B. & Rakim

Guerolito by Beck

This one is more re-interpretation than remix:

I<3UQTINVU by Jockstrap & Taylor Skye

The DFA Remixes: Chapter One by The DFA
James Murphy was half of the DFA and most of these remixes were done around the same time LCD Soundsystem recorded their first album. All together similar vibe to LCD S; great mixes overall.
