Hello everyone! I’m Damiano, a music lover with a collection of almost 5000 tracks ?. I do not have a favourite genre: music means art to me, so it depends which emotion I’m looking for in that precise moment. I hope this community let me find out new artists/ albums. Also, it would be my pleasure to contribute talking about music.
Thanks! ?

Welcome! Dancing

So... You're saying you try to match what you're playing to the emotion you're feeling, and/or the emotion you'd prefer to be feeling? If I'm not mistaken, the primary emotions are anger, sadness, fear, disgust, happiness, and... surprise! Two of those are amongst the main weapons of the Spanish Inquisition, I might add.

Personally, I try not to let myself be influenced by emotions at all, so instead of that I just carry a deck of Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies cards with me everywhere I go. Right now I'm looking at the centre of a very small object, for example. (Admittedly though, this doesn't help me decide what album to listen to at any particular moment.)

Welcome damyano. There are some great people on this site and hope you have a good time.

There are some interesting forums on here with probably the easiest to get into being,

what album are you listening to right now (Cont.)

Some nice people on there and you can get into chats about the album that is posted. That’s one that I like and contribute to a lot

Enjoy

Welcome, Annapolly! I know how you feel. I was banned too after 15+ years(!) on the site. The admins/mods of RYM have become monstrously hateful people who look for any feeble & dishonest excuse to ban anyone who doesn't echo their Stalinist ideological beliefs. No viewpoint diversity allowed there. Hopefully you'll encounter better, wiser, more open-minded people here on BEA.

Absolutely. RYM has some of the most closed-minded, intolerant (of other's views) people running their site, and they think they're the open-minded, tolerant ones. Their irony and hypocrisy is off the charts.
