They've since reinvented themselves as more of a shoegaze act, but I'd say this track was the height of their psychedelic phase. (Also, they have a new album coming out on Friday! 😄 )
Are well, since I retired, I joined something called University of the Third Age (U3A), sounds a little hippy dippy but it's actually for people to learn new subjects and interact with people with similar interests and they do an awful lot around music so I'm joining a few of the vast array of groups
I'm in a 60's albums' Group, a 70's albums group, a random topics group (I bounce in and out of that one), a Jazz group and now the Psychedelic Group. Absolutely love it

Thanks for sharing Asteriods (I wasn't aware of that track at all). Nice surprise. Really liked it and thanks for sharing KDQ. Yes, I think that it's a UK restrictions / copyright thing. Haven't tried to play it yet. We'll see how it goes

This is from one of my favorite albums of the 60s. I've never seen this Ed Sullivan show version of this song before but I've seen other ones, and this one is really good. Too bad it wasn't the full length album version. This one was pretty much the same as the single version, but a little bit longer. This first album had all their best cover versions of songs. It has two Beatles covers, Eleanor Rigby and Ticket to Ride. And also The Zombies' She's Not There and a couple of other '60s covers. Most of their original songs weren't that great but a couple were pretty good. Of course this one was a cover of the famous Motown Supremes hit, and they did another Motown cover on a later album which is even greater than this. It's a totally insane cover of Junior Walker & the All-Stars' Shotgun. There's a few more great ones on the later albums, but the debut album is the best because after that they started to do too many of their own original songs, which of course weren't as entertaining as the cover versions.

Hi Roberto. I have mixed emotions about Vanilla Fudge and I think that you have encapsulated my feeling in the above.
They were great at reinterpreting other peoples songs but their own songs were, in the main, rather nondescript. Great musicians though which counts for a lot
George Harrison was always my favourite Beatle and this is basically a George Harrison song which, I think I'm right on saying doesn't have any other Beatle playing on it. Great track

The next track played was a fairly obvious one when thinking about Psychedelic music and a very familiar track to most i would suggest but that doesn't take away from how great this track is.
Great to hear it again and discuss with others. The unanimous conclusion. Awesome
