It seems since the last time I have seen it the title of the Talking Heads 4th album has been changed! Where it used to be called 'Remain in the Light' it has been edited to 'Remain in Light'. The most strange part? This is not isolated to BEA. The name change has happened on wikipedia and rate your music too!

What is the meaning of this!? Evil or Very Mad What does 'Remain In Light' even mean? 'Remain in the Light' made sense as it was like "hey... we don't know what could be in the shadows so... yeah, remain in the light". It had a sense of danger and that. 'Remain In Light' sounds like shallow wisdom. Like a poor man's yin yang delivered with a drunk's whisper. What is the point in even changing it?

And the worst part... well it's that part of me sees 'Remain In the light' as strange. A nagging feeling that the title should be a little smaller. Yet at the same time my inner voice keeps saying "Remain In The Light... Remain In The Light... Remain In THE LIGHT"

Something isn't right here. This could be either a great prank or proof of a greater intelligence. The only other explanation could be that I have been wrong all these years. Shocked

...Remain in Light IS the real title. I have the original vinyl right here, and it says "Remain in Light".

What makes Remain in THE Light make more sense than Remain in Light? They both make sense.

It's always been Remain in Light since October 8, 1980. Sometimes I wonder about your reading and writing skills for a 21-year-old Englishman

You have got to be joking Shocked You cannot be serious!

The title had to have been 'Remain In The Light' at some point. It has been that way in my head for as long as I can remember. Seriously... you cannot remember it being 'Remain In the Light'?

This must be like an episode of the Twilight Zone for you, bud. It's always been Remain In Light! In fact, I've never heard anyone call it "Remain in THE Light" until you posted this thread.

Since when did "Remain in Light" become "Remain in the Light"?

If you noticed, it says "Remain in Light" at the bottom of the cover.

I know what you're going through. I used to think that The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan was called The Freewillin' Bob Dylan, because it rhymes and makes more sense and let's be honest is an all around better title. Still, you just gotta adjust. I have an original vinyl copy too and it is indeed Remain in Light. Sorry. Confused

The Freewillin' Bob Dylan.......hmmm, it's not a better title. But yeah, good one. And yes, it is Remain in Light, has always been, and always will.

I've gotta go with Juan here. Freewillin' Bob Dylan > Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
