Apologies for what's been happening over the past day or so with the extensive downtime. I'm reposting most of this from another thread to make sure it's more visible. On the road for the next ten days celebrating a family birthday in another part of the world, so not been able to be on the site as much as usual to keep an eye on things. The site was basically riddled with AI crawlers in the background trying to scrape content from BEA (few of which obey any kind of crawl limits and some even disguise their identities to prevent them being blocked). May have to go nuclear soon and block everything (may do this for a more peaceful life), but then it affects things like SEO if you block the wrong bots (which then affects traffic to the site). I'll be keeping a closer eye to see what attacks the site next. I'm sat in a hotel room at the moment trying to restore normal service, incredibly frustrating & hopefully things become a bit better today 🙏 _________________ Bluesky · Facebook · Spotify · X
