"It's more geared towards the mainstream than, say, Master of Puppets of ...And Justice For All, but it's just as classic as either of them. It's definitely more accessible and is easier to get through for non-metal fans. The mixing/mastering on this album is absolutely flawless. Every instrument can clearly be heard. In the end, Metallica has everything one would want in a metal album. It has excellent drums, great vocals, and last, but not least, it has long, epic guitar solos."

"I actually really enjoy the Black Album. It's commercial heavy metal, but it's not as if the band completely forsakes thrash metal. It's more of a transistional album from 80s thrash to 90s alt-metal/heavy metal.
I really enjoy Holier than Thou, Enter Sandman, the Unforgiven, The God that Failed, Nothing Else Matters, Sad But True, My Friend of Misery"
