I guess I'm ever so slightly lower on this Clipse comeback than a lot of people. Still a fantastic album and a great single in Birds Don't Sing, but Play speaks to me in so many ways. Thanks Tap for the nomination, not sure if I'd ever give James K a chance otherwise! I'm so glad I got to show you all this James K song! It has been so resonant for me in these months since I heard it, like on a structural level, like the sorta double chorus thing that it has, each time we go back into them it feels like a metroidvania like I'm backtracking with more power, like there's something that grows in the sonic ecology with each return and it hits me harder and harder each time. I LOVE IT!!
