This is an album I only listen to at the very lowest points in my life. Surprisingly, I mean that as a compliment.

Definitely a depressing album, but in a good way if that's possible.

Down In A Hole and Junkhead are probably my favorites.

I don't like all of the songs here, but the highlights are pretty awesome - Would, Down in a Hole, Junkhead, ... Oh and why is this tracklist different from the one on my CD? On my version Down in a Hole is second to last

Very great album, but when I look at all my Beatles albums in my chart, it seems that Dirt doesn't belong at it.

For an even darker and more depressing album, check out Alice In Chains from 1995.

Same as my CD version. Just to quote what wikipedia says: On the Australian, European, and early U.S. and Canadian versions of the CD, "Down in a Hole" is located between "Angry Chair" and "Would?"

Great album, but as 40ftwolf pointed out, you do have to be in a certain state of mind.

Well, I somehow still have yet to actually own this album, which makes me wonder if I can truly call myself a grunge fan, but what I've heard off of it (Them Bones, Rooster, Angry Chair, Would?) are all brilliant songs.
