Does he really need to rest in peace though? I'm sympathetic to his family that he died, but he did turn a blind eye and by his inaction essentially allowed numerous young boys to be raped at the hands of his friend.
Just because he's dead doesn't mean that his actions in this mess should be forgotten (even though they will.)

Yeah, fuck Joe Paterno. I don't give a fuck how good of a coach he was, that doesn't excuse his actions.

If you drive a guy to a house and wait in the car while he commits a murder inside, you will most likely be tried for murder as an accessory.
Joe Paterno was an accessory to some really sick things, and he will never be held accountable for what he did. He knew things and said nothing, putting his whack job friend in front of the safety and sanity of children.

A friend of mine gave me a call tonight to flip on Sports Center.
They had a tribute to the bastard, in which they FUCKING SYMPATHIZED WITH HIM.
They ACTUALLY said: "it was a shame what he had to go through with 'that' scandal earlier this year, I'm sure that was very stressful. He was a great coach and a great man." They DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO MENTION WHAT THE FUCKING SCANDAL IN QUESTION WAS.
I am UNBELIEVABLY revolted by this.
