Thought it was about time to create this thread. I'll start off with 'The Fall' by Gorillaz which I decided to classify as a 2011 album. I actually quite liked it 70/100 nice atmosphere created. Anyway unless i'm much mistaken I don't know that there is much to get excited about with new releases this month, the only album i'm looking forward to is "Blue Songs" by Hercules and love affair. What is everyone else looking forward to in the next couple of months?

I'm currently waiting for an album to be released. I remember there being 3 or so out right from the word go last year. Doesn't seem to be the case this year.
I heard yesterday that the Strokes are releasing a new one in March. A lot of people on here would be looking forward for that I imagine.
No Doubt have entered the studio to record. Could take untill 2012 though as progress is really slow.
Lady Gaga has a new one out May too.
More 2011 releases will come to my head soon.

Read the wikipeadi page on Wire as well.
Seems they have reformed several times and have constantly changed their music style.
I bought The 3 70s Wire albums and found the 1987 electronic-influenced The Ideal Copy in a local music store. And just found a digital copy of Red Barked Tree and listened to the first track.
Don't expect 1970s Wire, slightly different direction.

Just listened to 2 albums that are my first for 2011
WIRE - Red Barked Tree
MOGWAI - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
Wire = an okay album with a mish-mash of genres at times
Mogwai = a great album that is atmospheric and engaging (now on my chart!)

Just listened to Avril's newest single, "What the Hell". It sucks.
Hopefully the whole album Goodbye Lullaby won't be like this.
