During the early 1980s I spent much of the time listening to John Peel's radio programme. Thanks to the wonders of youtube, I recently 're-discovered' some of the tracks that defined his show and the alternative UK indie scene of the time. John Peel was an absolute legend and I have yet to find another radio DJ who even comes close to matching him for variety (and style). Not to mention the incredible 'John Peel Sessions'...

I'll have a scoot round when I get home from work for some of my John Peel favourites (although you already have a cracking list)...
