Post subject: Early '80s alternative UK indie/punk and synth-pop
During the early 1980s I spent much of the time listening to John Peel's radio programme. Thanks to the wonders of youtube, I recently 're-discovered' some of the tracks that defined his show and the alternative UK indie scene of the time. Here's a selection that bring back some great personal memories. I hope you enjoy some of favourite tracks from the period. If any body can add to them, it would be great.

John Peel was an absolute legend and I have yet to find another radio DJ who even comes close to matching him for variety (and style). Not to mention the incredible 'John Peel Sessions'...
I'll have a scoot round when I get home from work for some of my John Peel favourites (although you already have a cracking list)...

Blimey, I'd forgotten about some of those. We were very luck to have spent our formative years listening to the John Peel show during the early to mid 1980s.
