Scaruffi: Beatles ('Not forgotten to be ignored'), Velvet Underground #1

VU are the better band, with a wider musical range, experimenting way more than the Beatles (the White album is a mess anyway). Their first 4 albums are completely different and groundbreaking in their own way. _________________ I'll be your plastic toy.
Recently realised how much I've fallen out of love with VU. I never liked the 3rd or the 4th album and though I initially loved WL/WH the most I now don't like/listen to it and VU+N is rapidly sliding down in my esteem. I think I just find them cold and emotionless now.
I think The Beatles had plenty of great albums, sounds, cultural influence and they didn't have Squeeze to their name. So The Beatles by a big margin.
Anybody who analyses and and enjoys music objectively and has their critical faculties intact, can possibly rate the Beatles as anything other than a bunch of second-rate musicians at worse or average musicians at best. To put them up against the Velvet Underground is simply a joke.
