Breathed new life into hip-hop. There was work that surpassed this album at the time, but nothing got noticed quite like The College Dropout did. Saved hip-hop from slipping into an Eminem-induced coma.

Kanye's BEST album by a country mile.'Never Let Me Down','Through The Wire' and 'Jesus Walks' all have legitimate claims to be considered some of the greatest Hip-Hop songs of all time and the rest of the songs aren't bad either 'We Don't Care' being my favourite.

Anyway, I mostly agree that this is a pretty good album, (though I may just like MBDTF slightly more  ) and one of the best hip-hop albums of the decade.

im a HUGE hiphop fan but i dont rate Kanye at all. Jesus Walks is the only good tune for me, can take or leave the rest.....
