Well I'd put G Rap in my Top Ten, whilst Jeru would struggle to make Top Forty. Without G Rap there'd be no Nas, no Biggie, no Jay-Z. After Rakim and KRS, only Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick can claim to be as influential as Kool G. Rap. His internal rhymes were mad, his punchlines immense and his content genuinely groundbreaking. He paved the way for Ghostface and Raekwon. Rappers as diverse in style as Nas, RA The Rugged Man and Action Bronson all name Kool G. Rap as their favourite rapper. No disrespect to Jeru, but this shouldn't be close.
