Switch Best Ever Albums with Chart of the Day?

- Post subject: Switch Best Ever Albums with Chart of the Day?

Having the "World album of the Day" is a fantastic addition to the site that I've been really enjoying, but unfortunately it knocks "Chart of the Day" off the first three cycle.
I wouldn't want to see "World Album of the Day" being knocked off the first three either - but I figure switching the positions of the first "Best Ever Albums" with "Chart of the Day" would be a great change for the following reasons..
-Everyone knows OK Computer is the highest rated album on the site that uses it frequently, and those that don't can very easily click "Overall" or just wait a few seconds to see it pop up on the second group of three.
-Seeing OK Computer there all the time gets boring - having "Chart of the Day" there instead would mix things up entirely on the front page each day.
-It groups them perfectly; the first page would be the "of the Day" and from then on would be the "Best Of.." being lead by the most important.
-Having chart of the day is an honor, and putting it on the front page would let people see very easily that their chart is the chosen one, it will also attract much more attention to the chart (since it's been moved to the second slide I always forget to check out the chart of the day).
I might have thought a little too much into this, but I think it makes perfect sense, and it's something to think about 😁

How about make it show 4 albums instead of 3.

They know that already, albummaster sends an e-mail.
Other than that, not a bad idea.

I think Calamity means that other people visiting the site aren't as likely to notice the new Chart of the Day, especially those not active in the forums.

Although it would be better that way for registered users (very slightly), the fact is that it needs to be on the very first page as it is what newcomers will be looking for. It's for the good of this site.

Xavygravy is right; the biggest audience here are the people that haven't yet registered, and the purpose of the first box is to help bring them into the overall chart. It might be possible to trial switching it around a bit and see if there's any impact, or to hide the first box for registered members.

space. I'd like to keep the headings quite big so people can see them easily.
