- Post subject: BEA Brawl: Debut Duel: Doors vs. Jimi
|
My first BEA Brawl was my best thread yet! People had great discussions between the two Arcade Fire albums that I've decided to do another one! But I won;t be doing this too often.
Now, this is a special kind of BEA Brawl. You can pretty much tell by the title. I have heard both albums here. There many rock legends out there who made it with their first album. This Brawl pits two albums that are right next to each other on BEA's overall chart (last I checked a couple of days ago.)

Jman, these are the types of threads people criticize you for. I must request (although you don't have to oblige to this request) that you stop. If you don't, I'm fine with it, but it's just that I hate to witness the shitstorming that happens against you, and useless battle threads are one example of a reason people antagonize you.

this wouldn't be a bad idea if you did it with albums ranked it with albums that are ranked in the 2000's instead of albums everyone already knows _________________ the lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it ~ Paul Gleason
Anybody can make 'good' music. I make terrible music, which is what makes it so different, and therefore better. ~ Thom Yorke

Please don't make this a regular thing. It's been done to death.

I won't do it multiple times a week anymore. Once every 1 1/2 to two weeks. And I'll try to stay within the 90's to now.

That is a really cruel match-up because voting against any of those 2 great albums breaks my heart but when the shit hits the fan, I have to go with Jim and the Doors.
Jimy may have been the guitar king but Jim, he is the Lizard King, like, man!

I went with The Doors, though both are excellent. I think I'd take Hendrix's catalogue over The Doors', but I don't think Jimi ever made an album as good as their debut.

I never liked Jimi, except on a couple of songs (Purple Haze, All Along The Watchtower). The Doors win this one by a mile.

I find threads pinning two of the best albums ever to be anything but useless on a site called Best Ever Albums. If you do not like it, ignore it, if it has been done before, provide the link and help the original poster. But please do not make the thread boring by being boring yourself.
See my rant: http://www.besteveralbums.com/phpBB2/vi...972#200972
Thank you.
