Sorry perhaps in your edit you changed your criteria. I thought you originally referenced our charts not our collections. I don't have my collection data based upon country of artist but I do know I have representations from many countries, resembling the United Nations.

M.I.A. (Mathangi Arulpragasam மாதங்கி 'மாயா' அருள்பிரகாசம்) was born in Hounslow, London, England but her family is of Sri Lankan Tamil descent. When she was six months of age, her family moved back to their native Sri Lanka.

It's fairly easy in Paris to get to listen to music from all over the world if you're interested. The "World Music" business is highly developed and covers a wide range of styles and origins. For instance, a lot of African musicians have actually lived, or are living, in Paris, and there are a lot of gigs from musicians from everywhere (mostly Africa, Europe of course, the Middle East and South America).
