- Post subject: old chart ratings

This is just an idea, but maybe it could be a good idea to have ratings no longer contribute to a chart once they reach a certain age? Those ratings often reflect a chart that no longer exists, as charts are constantly changing.
I'm not totally sure I even support this, it's just an idea that I had. _________________ My top songs of the 2010s

if only one or two entries have changed in a big chart then it shouldn't matter how old the chart is. If a chart has changed more significantly, then I agree the rating wouldn't properly reflect the chart at the time it was rated. There's two sides to this, on the one hand, people don't want to lose their ratings when they update their charts, and on the other, the rating needs to accurately reflect the chart that was rated. The way things are at the moment is quite simple, but maybe something could be added here (but I'm sure what at the moment).
