I actually really like these albums. Why is it they don't get the credit they deserve? This is true not only on this site, but overall in the critics world, and yet there are plenty of albums on the 90s top 100 on this site that I would replace with these two albums in a heartbeat...

If you disagree, please explain why...
If you agree, please explain why...

And also, if you would please, comment on about how many times you have listened to the albums... once or twice, never, or a bunch.

What I find interesting is everyone acclaims Achtung Baby as amazing, and yet these albums have a similar quality to them....

I've only listened to "Pop" out of these two, 5 times or something. I think it's good, but "Achtung Baby" has overall greater songs. It's probably also something to do with how dominant their electronic direction is on "Pop", something that's interesting but also straw from what you'd normally look for in a U2 album. "Staring at the Sun" is a great song.

I've heard Zooropa quite a few times and Pop maybe a couple, and I think they're both terrible. Then again the only U2 albums I can tolerate are the first three, and even then I'm not a fan. I liked All That You Can't Leave Behind when it came out. I was 10.

Yep, I agree with the above comment. U2 couldn't make a good album if their life depended on it, but I did hear a christmas song by them on the radio, and I must admit, I enjoyed it.

I think this thread is more targeted at those who like U2, but OK.

People who like U2 are morons. People who hate U2 are morons as well. Music is not a matter of liking or hating but enjoying or ignoring. That's the only way one can call U2 haters and lovers both morons. 😁
