Hi I was inspired to start this topic after watching the UK TV program 'I've never seen star wars' Each episode features a celebrity guest presenting a list of things to the host that, until coming on the show, they had never done before but many others have. Generally the show is structured around one each of certain types of experiences; reading a new book, listening to some new music, watching a new film or television programme, eating a new food and taking part in a new leisure activity. After they have done these they give their experience a rating out of 10. I thought it would be interesting to do this soley with music. I'm sure we've all put off listening to something in the belief we wont like it and when we actually do give it a go we like it.

so anything related to music e.g learning to play an instrument, listening to an album, going to a festival etc

for me it shall be:

1) busk
2) do some djing (will be helping out with that at a party)
3) listen to in rainbows
4) listen to anything by miles davis

Asking people on this site to admit to not having experienced something which most other people have is not going to get you very far Laughing

I actually never have seen a whole Star Wars film Embarassed I've seen bits of most of them but never a whole one. I don't even think I want to tbh but if I ever do I'll post my rating of it here.

Yeah I kind of thought the same (although not about Star Wars... seen ALL of them many many times Very Happy)

Anyway I'll have a go but I've made it more of general bucket list music ambitions rather than ones loads of people have that I haven't...

1. Complete my Factory Records collection (as far as is possible)... currently working on acquiring FAC 5, FAC 11 and FACT 30
2. Have sex with Mac McCulloch (its the lips! Very Happy )
3. Perform at Ronnie Scotts
4. Perfect a backdrop before my hips finally give out.
5. Spend an evening getting drunk and talking music with purple and CellarDoor Very Happy

Ok... maybe not quite what you had in mind but I tried!

And HTTS... go watch a full Star Wars film.. it is a pop culture must do! Laughing

Oh I know, people are always so shocked when I say I've never seen one. It's one of those things I'm just going to have to force myself to do, hopefully I might actually enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure most people haven't done anything on your list though Laughing

I enjoyed the star wars movie, never understood the critical acclaim, in my opinion, they'r nothing special. That's not to say other people can't think that they are special, it's just my opinion.

1. I know I write songs (not that any of them are produced), but I've NEVER shown anyone my lyrics.
2. I've never heard Alien Ant Farm.
3. I've also never heard Arcade Fire. I'll be doing that soon.
