Which do you prefer? I ask because they've been fluctuating recently in position.

I definitely vote Pet Sounds. I just think that he music at its core is better composed, plus I enjoy its lyrics more. Not to rag on Funeral, it's still in my top 10, I just like Pet Sounds better.

Both pretty boring albums in my opinion and Arcade Fire are probably the worst live act I've seen(before you say they where having an off night I've seen them twice).Neon Bible is a far better album than Funeral.

Why compare two completely different albums?

Neither of them gets me that excited but 60's pop really does nothing for me, so Funeral.

Pet Sounds, while stunning, has some average songs... Funeral is breathtaking from start to finish.

Pet Sounds wins because of some fantastic composition and great production for the time. I'm pretty sure its in my top 100. Funerals quite good, but I almost never feel like listening to it anymore.

I believe he addressed that in his post.

I personally slightly prefer Pet Sounds. There are just too many songs on Funeral that don't really do it for me. I'm frankly not entirely sure HOW it made it into the top 15.

Pet Sounds, because despite however incredibly overrated it may be, it still influenced a lot of great music.

I think conventional wisdom says Pet Sounds, but since Funeral was of my era, I just feel more of a connection to it
