As you can see none if these anniversaries are particularly special numbers... But all great record anniversaries nonetheless. I couldn't decide for the life of me which album to feature for today, so I tried to be fair and go over them all. I've included a poll to see which of these three records is your favorite or is the most important to you or which one you feel deserves the most recognition on This Day In Music! Vote away.

Oh and what do you think? Do you love these records? do you hate them? And why?

albummaster will soon make a section, seperated from the music section, called "Mercurydylan89's This Date in Music-feature". Maybe there will even be a "discuss this album's anniversary here"-feature on the album in question and the album's cover artwork will be on front of the page.. next to OK Computer. These anniversary threads are getting big. I can feel it.

Anyway, Bob's album here is the only one I know properly. Have listened to Spiderland once. I have the strongest relationship with Dylan's album. ๐Ÿคฃ

WHOA!! Just realized Spiderland is in our top 200. Thought it was way lower than that!

Thanks bro! Yeah that Dylan album is a brilliant creation. I think Dylan in his prime was better and more amazing than the Beatles and beach Boys and Stones in their Primes COMBINED!

Spiderland is cool. It's a grower. Ill have to relisten today.

Only heard parts of Run DMC. Influential? Yeah. Dated as all hell? Yes again.

Hard choice between Dylan and Slint but Spiderland wins. That album is phenomenal.

I agree. I need to hear it again. I remember the sudden quiet/loud dynamic were awe-inspiring on that record! And some of the guitar parts just blew me away! Really neeeed to take 50 minutes today and devote it to that record.

I voted Dylan....because I think he's the GOAT.

Well, The Beatles and The Beach Boys are my two favourite bands/artists, so I can't say I agree much with your first statement.

Okaaaaay.... Dylan is my fave, so agree to disagree. One thing is for sure, the mid to late 60s saw the rise of the most badass corps of influential artists and bands. I mean Dylan, Beatles, velvet Underground, Beach Boys, Hendrix, stones, doors, etc. those dudes are all GIANTS in music history. Love that era!

Run-D.M.C. for the win! They dated, for sure, but their first album really gets me every time. I also love Dylan's album, but I have yet to listen to Slint. I'm afraid of this record. I don't want to listen to it. It seems terrifying.

Holy hell! Quite the assertion you've made. Individually, possibly, but combined? No way.
