I have 8 - 10 boxes full of cds...

There are even more without a box...

Some are in the shed...

Nothing is ordered...

And the music files on my computer are a nightmare... 50% of the good music is missing or was never put onto my computer. I was going to buy a 8GB flash drive so I could take some off without deleting it alltogether (I already have a full 2GB USB stick full of music and a harddrive which is a mess) but I ended buying more albums from HMV 🫢

There is no organization on this end.

The most recently played is on the top of the pile on top of the stereo until the sound knocks it down. Then it's random again.

All my Cd's and records are organized by artists name, then chronological within that artists discography. All my Cd's are mostly on a bookshelf, I probably have about 300. My records are on an Ikea Expedit shelf, probably have about 100 of those.

Alphabetically by artist, then album, until I get bored and create a new system, I also keep the cardboard album cases separate from the plastic ones.

A completely filled 160gb iPod classic, and completely filled 800gb laptop, and another completely filled terabyte external hard drive. Everything is organized and with album covers. I am OCD as fuck

This. And all the records I own are just in a pile (only about 20), and their covers are all over the wall of my mantacular music room.

For the record I order mine strictly chronologically - I think albums are more defined by their era than their artist.
