Bands your collection says you should love, but you don't

I'm not talking about bands you think suck per se, just bands that you yourself have given a chance because your own musical preferences hint you should love them or like-minded music fans have recommended. Bands someone else might be surprised you don't love. For me, the list is: R.E.M. - Should be right in my wheelhouse... I even love R.E.M. copycats Guided By Voices... but something just doesn't connect for me. Pink Floyd - I'm a fan, but don't understand the sales/general adulation My Morning Jacket - Been recommended by a ton of friends, just don't hear it The Pixies - Blasphemy right? I love guitar-based indie rock. I'm even from Boston. Strike me down, rock gods. The White Stripes - Like them enough when listening, but rarely ever seek their music out on purpose. Two albums that sorta fit this description: Astral Weeks and Pet Sounds.
