I would just like to say that i am new to this site, but the time i have spent on it i have enjoyed the conversation that people have been having, and i feel like i wanted to join the conversation. At the moment i am starting to enjoy music again, there have been a number of years that i had not because i felt that the music that had been coming out was becoming to generic, and not much that i liked.
Recently I have just started to listen to albums that i had always wanted to listen to and re-listening to albums that i love to listen to. And from this i decided I lot more different kinds of music, so i opened a book i had on my shelf, "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" and decided to start at the start and work my way through, although not having too much time to listen to everything, i have been trying to listen to at least 3 different albums a night, although sometimes i feel the need to listen to something i like and listen to something i haven't heard then listen to one i had heard then back to another one i had not heard.
My favorite bands are The Beatles, Oasis, Foo Fighters, U2, Crowded House, Matchbox Twenty, Queen, Powderfinger.
One of the bands i have just started listening to is The Who, i recently just listened to Tommy, Who's Next and Quadrophenia, and i really liked those albums, they have become to frequently listened to albums for me.
Anyway I just thought i would introduce my self, and I hope to become part of the discussions on this web site.

Awesome! Always nice to see someone this enthusiastic about listening to music! I guess I could recommend some things I enjoy. Moon and Antarctica by Modest Mouse if you haven't heard it. You might also want to try electro shock blues by Eels.

Sweet! Which is your favorite of the three? Mine's Who's Next. It's in my top ten.
