Interesting topic stolen from RYM. What does/did your dad listen to? We need a true representation of dad rock!

EDIT: If you want, tell some stories and what not!

Dad: Dadrock essentials (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, AC/DC...)
Step-dad: Pretty wide taste. Anything from Herbie Hancock to Foxygen. We share a lot of musical tastes.

My mom and step dad actually got divorced and now she has a boyfriend

Mom's boyfriend: Imagine Dragons, Kid Rock, and Five Finger Death Punch. I hate that guy

He likes mostly southern rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet, since he was born in the South. He also likes smooth jazz, and some country like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Lindy Ortega, and little bits of Taylor Swift. And Blake Shelton. But his favorite might be Allman Brothers. He also likes Pink Floyd and HATES GNR.

My dad listens to classical, prog, and prog metal. He throws in the occasional 70's pop or rock album, but it's mainly prog stuff.

U2, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Coldplay, Supertramp, cliche "classic" songs (A Whiter Shade Of Pale, Wonderful World, Over The Rainbow).

My dad's an interesting character. He listens to quite a bit. He certainly listens to all those stereotypical rock bands everyone claims is dadrock, but he's more into blues/jazz (though apparently he thinks the two are the same) than anything. In fact, he got me into Al Di Meola, Johnny Winter, and a few others. Also, he likes Prog, his favorite being Yes.

My dad's tastes are interesting. I can't really say for sure what he likes the most, but my perception is that he loves Dream Theater, Kansas, and The Dixie Chicks (during my childhood he also played a lot of Shania Twain, Kelly Clarkson, and Avril Lavigne; like I said, interesting) among others. He also utterly loathes Springsteen, Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and Ramones.

Either the typical ACDC, Van Halen kind of stuff, or horrible 90's House music that just plays the same beat for hours on end.
