I've been trying to find out if Demon Days is a concept album or not. I've read sources that give off both YES and NO. How do you view this album? I want to find if there is a track by track story in the album, but I can't. But I'm sure there's some kind of concept revolving around worldly corruption.
btw, the fact that it's a concept album most likely won't change my opinion of the album in anyway. I still love it.

"Albarn has said that the album is meant to be a depiction of a journey through the night in which each track represents a confrontation with a personal 'demon'.
The album also has many lyrical themes centred on the destruction humans are causing worldwide; speaking about the track "Fire Coming out of the Monkey's Head", Albarn explained, "That came from a very naive idea, which is: what is going to happen when they've taken all of the oil out of the earth? Aren't there going to be these vast holes? Surely those holes shouldn't be empty. Surely there is a reason why they had all of this in. It's like bad plastic surgery, eventually it collapses.""
There's no 'story', but - like most album - it does centre itself around a theme.
Funnily enough. when I was listening to them - the young, impressionable mind that I had back in 2005/06 - I actually thought there was a story going on, according to the music videos. Nowadays, I just laugh at myself for taking something like that seriously. Anyway, I don't think there's an actual story going on in Demon Days, though I can't remember any themes that it presented, maybe I'll re-listen to it to refresh my memory or there could be none at all or it maybe open to speculation or it's just that freakin' good. _________________
