Well, Hairymarx is a Scaruffi clone, and I think Scaruffi's opinion is bullshit a lot of the time. That being said, when Scaruffi really likes something, it's generally pretty good, so I'd say this chart is good.

I have been following besteveralbums for over two years now and this is far and away the most thought provoking and inspiring chart I have yet seen, much to think about. Many thanks.

A few thoughts:
- Mirror Man is way too high. It's got nothing on most of the Captain's discography.
- From Her to Eternity is certainly NOT Nick Cave's best. I don't understand this pick. The best of Nick Cave is between 1988 and 1994 IMO.
- Have A Marijuana must be a joke. It's not awful, but #22 of all time? Hey, where's Philosophy of the World and Fugs?
- The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady is not a #53 in my view. You either love it and put in your top ten, or just plain like it and it's not top 100 material.
- Laika are awfully boring, and more dated than all the awesome 60s and 70s picks from this chart.

- Most of the picks in this chart are splendid, which is why I ventured into some minorly negative musings.

- I need to listen to those Jon Hassell and Julia Holter records. Never heard of Julia Holter, what's she like?

Rolling Eyes

Great chart. If I were to be picky about this though:

- On the Beach is superior to Tonight's the Night.
- Tago Mago is superior to Future Days.
- Telepathic Surgery, despite having at least two songs (and on the CD version, Hell's Angels Crackers Factory too) that would make my top 20 Flaming Lips tracks, is inconsistent. Never mind that every Flaming Lips album is.
- Scott 4? Really?

Actually I find this chart less pretentious than Scaruffi's. I like it a lot.

I think the chart is excellent, although I think the creator is a tosser and the albums included for laughable/pathetic reasons at best.

It's hard for me to enjoy a chart with Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt in the top ten because I know exactly whats coming next.
