As much as I like Exuma's first 2 records, I think I'll join in on the Daniel Johnston love. His early lo-fi recordings are about as good as music gets. Grievances is great but my favorite is:
I tried some of Mr. Johnston's early recordings and they didn't sit that well with me. I will come back to them sometime soon.
But then I just listened to "1990" - and that is amazing! But Exuma is more spiritual and more uplifting to me personally. But, again, 1990 is one if the best and most eerie and most minimalist albums I've really fallen for lately.
