Post subject: Rare Album: Apocalyptic Proportions by Soundgarden
When I was listening to Superunknown, I found a link to a Soundgarden album called Apocalyptic Proportions. I looked it up on BEA, ibut it's not here. I did research on it. Apparently, it's a rare collection of B-sides. So far, it's awesome and it should've been widely released. IMO, Cornell's vocals are at his strongest, even against Superunknown and Badmotorfinger, on the second track. Here's the link:
My final review: This is a collection of B-Sides which, very sadly, should've been more popular. Cornell kills with his vocals once again, and there's enough Soundgarden for this to be one of their top albums.
82/100
This could have been posted in Musical Random Chat, because I think there's only a few Soundgarden fans here, and this thread isn't going to get enough attention to make it worthwhile. Usually threads are better when they're more interactive, or start discussion. Putting this in Musical Random Chat would probably have been better.
Heh. I'm not worried about that. I can't convince people to listen to an album. I've learned that the hard way with Cher, and the frustrating way with Dinosaurs (How come no one's heard it yet!? AAARRRGGH!!!) I just thought people would be interested in a rare album, and more attention would be brought with a whole new thread, something out of the ordinary.

No offense jman but it might just be that people dont take your recomendations seriously. Youve said it yourself: you havent heard nearly as much music as most people here have and that tends to make people glaze over things you want others to listen to. Thats why people (or atleast me anyways) listen more intently to the likes of norman, nezzle, cellardoor, mecca, etc. Theyve been around music forever and that extensive knowledge translates into more willing listeners.
