I don't like it better than that album, though this is a great album on its own. |
- Eggman/Facetious in regards to the last time Blue was album of the day.
How did this happen?

I love The Beatles but most of John Lennon's solo career does very little for me. Still enjoy it.

"Mother" and "God" are plain awful. I don't mind the rest much.

It is all right. Nothing too special, but not bad at all.

This is as good as Lennon ever was without McCartney. He's angry, he's trying scream therapy, and he's raw. His albums after this were very uneven and often sappy, but this is consistent and strong from start to finish.
This is, to me, the second best Beatles solo album after All Things Must Pass. And it's a long drop to #3. _________________ I'm leaning on the threshold

This is a decent album. Mother and Well Well Well are great.
Still not as good as Blue though.
