been listening to Set the Fire to the Third Bar by Snow Patrol & Martha Wainwright a lot recently, and Don't Give Up by Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush, and wanted to make a playlist of good Male-Female duets, any good ones anyone can think of?

Richard and Linda Thompson- I Want to See The Bright Lights, Pour Down Like Silver, Shoot out The Lights, all incredible albums. The juxtaposition of each others perspectives and voices from song to song creates about the best summation of what it's like to be in a relationship that I've ever heard.

Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell, Ain't no mountain high enough, is my favourite duet.
Morrissey & Siouxsie, Interlude is a crooning curiosity : )

Snow Patrol = scraping my penis off... but i think Wainwright does a nice job.

And sad to say, although I am a rabid admirer of all things Kate Bush, I dont really like the collaboration with P Gabes. Although the video makes me want to hug Kate Bush for the duration of my life.

Theres a lot of great bands with male andfemale singers that play off each other (fleetwood mac, arcade fire)...but as far as a proper duets are concerned....

Yeah, that's the kind of thing, thanks Elston.

Can be any style of music, I just like the dynamic of a male and female voice- kind of adds something if you've got the right song.

But I didn't need to see Ozzy that large on my screen, unexpectedly!

...and as for Kate Bush, well, she was my first crush as a lad, I don't think I'll ever get over her!
