So while reading the interview thread and I was thinking that I should conduct a video interview. The only problem I could think of is that it would most certaintly turn into meandering chat about music or completely unrelated things. After a little more thinking I decided to put the video interview in the rafters and save it for later (like I usually do)
But it got me thinking, would meandering chat be that bad? I immediately thought of starting a BEA podcast. In general I love round table discussion podcasts but I have not really ever listened to one geared towards music (not saying they don't exist, in sure they do).
The format is obviously in the air but i was thinking something like this:
-on a monthly basis
-3-4 people per podcast
-1.5 to 2 hours in length
-rotating members
-live streamed
-maybe have themed nights (hip-hop night, experimental night, live show experiences story telling night ect)
-quite loosely ran. Allow for all sorts of discussion
What do you guys think? Good ideas? Bad ideas? I have a couple of concerns: My main concern is that it could take some discussion away from te forums. But I also think it could create lots of discussion. My secondary concern is is this community big enough to warrant the work that would go into making this (is anybody going to listen to this?) _________________ Alt Right meme game on point

Sounds like a great idea. I do love a good podcast, the more meandering the better. I certainly think it's something worth trying though I'm aware it can take a lot of effort to put such things together.
And I do think you need worry about taking discussion away from the forum as something like this would almost certainly stimulate protracted discussions within the forum.
I'm inclined to agree with Butterthumbz here. I think I'd be far more interested in doing something like this than an interview, just due to the fact I've always enjoyed podcasts and never really heard many good music ones. Aside from that I think we've got a pretty intelligent, entertaining group of people here who could certainly make meandering chitchat something wonderful. But yeah, I'd be totally down for it.

This is already being done in sports. It's called ESPN. They have a show called Sportscenter that used to be all about sports. Now, it's all about a bunch of guys in suits who like to listen to themselves talk about sports.
