NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

I mentioned an idea for a Best Debut Album tournament a while back and there has recently been some interest expressed in starting it up, so without further ado, I'd like to kick things off.

Eligibility:
In order for an album to qualify, it must meet the following restrictions:
1) The album is the first released by a particular artist. This can be somewhat ambiguous, but just use your common sense. For example, This Year's Model does not count just because it was technically by Elvis Costello & The Attractions whereas My Aim Is True was just Elvis Costello. If you have any uncertainty regarding any of your choices, feel free to PM me or ask me about it in this thread and I'll decide whether or not the album qualifies as a proper debut.
2) The album meets the criteria for the BEA database. It does not necessarily have to be in the BEA database, it just needs to meet the necessary criteria.
3) The album was released as of August 25th, 2013.

Clarifications:
1) If an individual has a solo career that he/she pursued after releasing several albums with a band, that artist's solo debut is also eligible.
2) If an artist only ever released one album, that album is eligible.

Nominations:
1) Each user will be able to nominate three (3) albums for the tournament.
2) Nominations will be cut off promptly at 128.

Tournament mechanics:
1) The tournament will be 6/7 rounds, single elimination.
2) Once nominations are in, all match-ups will be randomized in a way that guarantees that no user's two nominations will face off before the finals.
3) Once the tournament starts, 4 match-ups will be decided per day, until the semifinals which will be 2 and 3 days (tentative) apiece, respectively.
4) Each match-up will be decided by a poll that will open at roughly midnight CST and close roughly 24 hours later.

Additional advice:
The intention of this tournament is not just to win, but for everyone to be exposed to as much great music as possible. In the interest of maintaining that goal, keep the following suggestions in mind:
1) Try to pick albums that can be either downloaded or streamed fairly easily on the Internet.
2) Dig deep. Everyone knows by now that Funeral and The Velvet Underground & Nico are amazing albums, so try to find something that most users will be less familiar with. This is your chance to get your lesser known favorites out into the open!
